In the heart of Tokyo’s neon-lit labyrinth lies a hidden world that only reveals itself to those who slow down. This miniature model was inspired by the timeless magic of Yokocho—the narrow, stone-paved alleyways where cozy eateries glow under the twilight, and the rush of the modern world fades into a distant murmur.

We wanted to capture that exact, universally comforting moment of finding refuge on a crisp autumn evening: stepping past a brilliant golden maple tree into a welcoming, two-story sushi restaurant and tavern. Inside, the ambient light casts a warm, golden hue over rustic wooden counters, tiny sake barrels, and meticulously crafted sushi platters. A traditional red Daruma and a welcoming lucky cat greet you from the corners, whispering stories of fortune and comfort. Every element, from the glowing paper lanterns to the serene mini stone garden, was designed to embody the Japanese concept of Yiran—a state of pure, unhurried contentment and inner peace.
